How does switching electricity or gas providers work?
Changing supplier takes place in four steps:
- Analysis & Offer:
We analyze your recent annual statements and create a customized offer.
- Appointment of the new supplier: If you accept our offer, we will take care of all the formalities and commission the new provider.
- Termination of contract with old supplier: Your new provider will automatically terminate the contract with your previous provider.
- Final settlement: After switching, you will receive a final bill from your old provider.
- You'll need your last annual bill, your current meter number, and, if applicable, your current contract. This information will help us provide you with an accurate quote.
- The switching process typically takes four to six weeks, depending on the notice periods of your current contract and the processing time of the new provider.
- Switching energy providers is free of charge for you. There are no fees or additional costs. We receive a commission from the new provider upon a successful switch, allowing us to offer our advice and support free of charge.
- Savings vary depending on your current tariff and consumption. In many cases, you can save several hundred euros per year, and in some cases, even more.
- Yes, many of our partners offer long-term price guarantees of up to 24 months for residential customers and up to 60 months for commercial customers. These guarantee stable and predictable energy costs.
- Your new provider will automatically cancel your old contract. You don't have to worry about anything.
- Yes, you have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from the date of conclusion of the contract. During this period, you can withdraw from the contract without giving any reason.
- Your energy supply remains secure. In this case, you will automatically be transferred to the basic supplier in your region until you sign a new contract.
